Who Sigenergy are
Sigenergy was founded in 2022 in Shanghai by Tony Xu, who spent 23 years at Huawei, including close to a decade leading the company's solar inverter division. Other members of the founding team came from established solar and battery brands.
Sigenergy entered the Australian market in 2023.
Engineering-first, from day one
Despite launching only recently, Sigenergy has grown to more than 600 employees, with around 70 percent of that team working in research and development. The company owns and operates its own battery manufacturing facility in Shanghai, with an annual production capacity of 6 GWh.
