The sales quoting person was polite and very professional the installers was polite, tidy and punctual. The customer service girls where very helpful and answered all questions put to them. Nothing was a problem, and yes they did organise the inspector to come to our house.

Terrific Customer Service, willing to educate the customer

Essential solar were not the cheapest quote i had, in fact they were the most expensive out of the 4 i received. Where they stood out though is that their service and expertise were head and shoulders above the others. For a start, despite being an hour away from my property, they were the only company willing to come out and look at my house prior to the quote. They also showed great patience in dealing with my many follow up questions. I though they were so professional that i referred them to do my parent's solar.

Friendly and professional down to the last detail

Quoting was face to face; friendly and spent time to explain process clearly. Particularly impressed with the insulation. A potential fault with the electricity provider was picked up and the installation team worked with me on this while the electricity provider dealt with the issue. The installers were polite and professional. Customer service linked all parts of the process from beginning to end so it all went smoothly.

Fab solar panels

Good sales and quoting process. Installation was ok, punctual, polite, very loud very early (couldnã¢â‚¬â„¢t be helped), a few broken tiles that i wasn't told about. Customer service has been great, paperwork straight forward, prompt connection and apps, great communications.

The quoting process was timely, friendly and efficient. The installation went smoothly with no problems encountered. The staff helped organise the grid connection immediately after completion and this happened very quickly with no problems. The staff have also been happy to help with follow-up questions relating to the retailer's website and app plus inverter warranty.

Really great support and experience

Essential solar have been really great for us through the whole process. Knowing that the company is based locally, in our area, did make a big difference for us, but i think they'd do a good job anywhere! The sales rep spent a lot of time making sure the details of our system were correct, and would fill our needs. This is our first home and it was important to us to get things right, but we had no idea what we were doing so good and honest information was important. It was really clear that the rep knew the products and the installation process, and really paid attention to our energy requirements and our budget - when we asked for a lower-cost solution, we got it. Everything was backed up with manuals and manufacturer's specifications - this was a really transparent and detailed process. We had help navigating the state government rebate system, which can be confusing (especially for first-home buyers like us), and the customer service was always outstanding with quick turnarounds. Installation was very professional and punctual (installers arriving bang on time!) - the lead time between paying the deposit and the installation date was a bit quicker than we'd been quoted which was actually great. The installation was very quick and extremely neat, and all of the various safety checks and dealing with the distributors and retailer have been very quick and painless, with a really great level of support. I absolutely recommend essential solar.

Communication through the Journey of Solar

The process from start to finish is no doubt a journey, but dealing with hard working installers and follow up due to monitoring issues by sam made the journey easier. I want to make particular reference to jessica kidd who was always on top of my questions, thorough and prompt with responses. Dealing with jessica through the rebate and wifi extender had me never lose faith. Jessica's customer service skills were of a very high quality. Essential solar came highly recommended from a family member and paul hammond set the scene with recommendations. I would have no hesitation recommending essential solar to anyone else considering solar power.

You cant go wrong with essential solar, from quoting stage to installation everything went as planned, after service was great as well they made sure everything was running, sent all relevant paper work to my energy supplier to configure my meter and even made sure my extended warranty was applied, installers were polite and cleaned up their mess, there is no complaints from me

The entire process has been great to this point, the sales team are knowledgeable and helpful, the installation process was great and have had no issues so far. And so far, after the install, the customer service has also been great, i have had a couple of queries which have been answered immediately. I will say that i have only had the system up and running for a couple of weeks though, so still too early to judge system performance, savings and responses to potential issues, but again, so far, can't fault essential solar and would (and have) definitely recommend them.

Great service, accommodated all my questions and requests. Installers turned up as promised and were very efficient, took the time to explain and confirm all details. From a purely return on investment i probably could have found a cheaper installer (so scored 4/5 for value) but not sure i would have had the same service. Seamless from start to finish

From my first phone call to coming on line essential solar were great. They were the only company to send someone out to look at the job, gave me a quote and plan on the spot the person had all the answers to all my questions. I was able to choose the date for the install and the electricians were on the door step right on time, i was able to get the inverter where i wanted it . The install was done with a minimum of fuss and cleaned up after the job the workers were polite and courteous and explained how the system worked. It took no time at all to get the system inspected and the paper was submitted the same day and i was contacted by my supply company within two days. This is one company i would recommend and have already done to a couple on friends already.

Yes. The panels were installed on monday this week. We used essential solar, who have numerous positive reviews on your site. I canã¢â‚¬â„¢t recall whether they contacted us (or vice versa) in first instance. Your site and information have been most useful and informative. Next steps for us are to choose our retailer/supplier (presently origin). Do you provide any advice in this. Given that we have 11 north and 7 west-facing panels, should we seek (what i am told) is a late-afternoon premium/bias feed-in tariff. Regards tom

Extremely helpful

Essential solar were extremely good and recommended the best unit to suit my situation. The girls in the office kept me up to date on the application process and once approved the installation was quick and without any problems.

Fantastic Solar Installation!!

Dealing with essential solar was a great experience. The salesmen paul was very informative and gave us a very accurate estimation of the power we would generate with our new solar panels. I found their quote to be competitive and was keen to use a company that didn't outsource the installation of the actual solar panels system to a third party. Throughout the process i dealt with jessica who was very helpful with organising the solar rebate & providing information about the installation date. The quality of essential solar's workmanship is excellent and the installation team work worked overtime to get the job completed.

It has gone fantastically well, surprisingly smoother and quicker than i had suspected particularly this last part - installation was on thursday pre-easter, inspection occured tuesday after easter and it was all turned on following the inspection. Essential solar has received the certificate of electrical safety and now having paid the balance, i expect to get all my paper work shortly, so that i can follow up the vic state govt rebate. I am fantastically happy with the service, advice and support from the team at solarquotes and the quality of the 3 companies that submitted quotes. The process has been highly educational and we are very happy with the outcome.

Be sure to check the system design document for over-shadowing. In my case the planned layout of solar panels had 5 panels where they would be shaded by next doors trees. Also insist that your inverter is in the shade. Using solar quotes selection diagrams i selected panels and invertor for quality not price. I could have had a much cheaper system if i selected cheaper components. Following solar quotes advise i got 6. 6kw of panels, ausnet limit the inverter to 5kw export. I can export 3. 6kw on an overcast day, more on a clouldless day

Essential solar gave professional service from the quote through the installation and with some fine tuning after the installation. Still sorting out some minor grid issues because the grid voltage is too high or house to pole connection to small. Essential solar is remaining engaged in this process even though the system has been paid in full. They were helpful in navigating the solar rebates process and ensured that the quote was submitted to solar vic in plenty of time to apply for the next rebate round.

The whole process was very professional from start to finish. Well explained site visit, good communication throughout the various stages and great installation. It was such a great experience from start to finish, from salesperson vipul explaining the process and cost to have it installed and to the installers that came to install the system. Was put onto essential solar by a friend but did my due diligence anyway. Made several requests of them prior to signing and they obliged promptly. Quick and easy set up and install was done with care. They accidentally lost power to one of my circuits and i didn't realise until the follow day however they came out to site and fixed the problem as a priority. Took quite a while for them to send the instruction pack out and when it was delivered the content wasn't up to scratch - very short on detail. Other than that, great customer service and quality. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Professional solar providers

From the quoting process to aftersales questions all facets were handled in a extremely professional manner. The installation team are essential solar employees and are very obliging. The information supplied as to what, when and where the applications and government red tape should be handled was perfect. Just read and do as required and you will have the solar system of your choice and little stress. Pricing and product availability are top of the tree. You pay for quality so do your homework. Ask for cheap and be prepared to pay more eventually. How do you feel when asked to discount your services. They are very nice (fun) people to deal with.

Solar as smooth as silk

We wanted to install a solar system for a number of years but didn't know how we would sort the "cowboys" from the "professionals". We heard a company advertising on the radio so requested a quote from them and they seemed very good and gave me a level of confidence. A friend was going through the same exercise and suggested essential solar so we requested a quote from them also and per kw they were similarly priced. However, the sales and quoting process, communication, customer service and follow up has been absolutely fautless right through the post install grid connection

Fantastic installers, made everything easy

Essential solar were great to deal with! We got quotes from 4 different companies, and only two of them actually came to my home to inspect, discuss and give me a quote. In al honesty, essential solar were not the cheapest of the quotes, but i went with them really due to a gut feeling and the friendliness of the staff. In addition, they provided great material. Ended up with a 6. 6 kw system, consisting of a fronius inverter, fronius smart meter and 21 longi solar panels. Tam and jessica were always prompt in replying to my questions and the installers did a great job on the day. So far, no problems encountered :) would use them in a heart beat.

Fantastic Installers, who provide the full package

Out of several installers, essential solar was the only one who actually came to my house to provide a quote. This was a contributing factor in my decision to go with them, including the fact that they used their own installers, did almost all of the work and follow up, and were reasonably priced. All in all, i felt they provided the most comprehensive package, and made the entire process painless. From start to finish, they did an excellent job. Ray who provided the quote was fantastic, informative and patient with all my queries, the installers were terrific, very professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves, and jessica and the other girls in the office were always polite and helpful. I thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to install solar.

Great install. Great Customer Service

Essential solar certainly weren't the cheapest quote, but i went with them because i had a tricky 2 storey install and wanted confidence that the system would be installed to last, rather than installed to work for 3 years. My solar consultant ray was knowledgeable, eager but not pushy. The victorian rebate scheme is one big hurdle, but the customer service at essential solar guided me through the process in real time to ensure i was one of the lucky few to secure a place within the 1 hour rebate window. The installation team arrived on time, were polite and diligent - even when they needed to come back to complete the install on a different day. I understand the team are employees as well, rather than contractors - and that was another core reason for choosing essential solar. The only downside was that the install price was on the high side - but as the adage goes; a product's quality will long outlast the initial sting of its price.

The process was easy and automated after the first meeting, with the sales rep still able to answer my calls/questions. Dedicated installers (not contractors) did a good job and we helpful and friendly still in the process of connecting to the grib but they're handling the process for us.

Not the cheapest, but excellent quality

We sought 3 quotes starting in june. Essential solar were the only ones who quoted in person. The quoting and installation were straightforward- tradespeople attended at the nominated time, completed the work as planned, and left no mess. We had some discussion about location of panels beforehand and found their replies prompt and helpful. We received all the necessary paperwork with no hassles for us. We had a cheaper quote but ultimately went with this provider as they instilled the most confidence in us that the job would be done right. So far (about 2 weeks post install) that appears to be correct. I feel we got a premium product with good service. Would recommend.

Ray from essential solar attended to inspect site for positioning of panels and inverter, he was very helpful with technical data. I decided on sunpower panels (8. 125kw) and fronius inverter (8. 2kw). Installers were great, they informed me of a wiring problem in the switchboard which has now been fixed. The system has now been working for 10 months and has performed above expectations and the most pleasing thing - no power bills. Thanks to everyone at essential solar

Great service

We have been very satisfied with the whole process to date. Essential solar provided a good service right through from the quote process, to assistance with the government rebate/loan process, to the installation team and to sales support. The team who installed the system were punctual, approachable, polite and friendly and the sales team were fantastic. So far we have had no problems with the system and have it all up and running including a quick connection with the energy retailer so that we are getting money back from power not used at home.

Essential Solar 10/10

I was originally going with another well known local solar company, but decided to get some other quotes to compare. I looked up solarquotes and asked for 2 quotes - and essential solar was the only one to contact me. Es send out their reps to check on your site before giving you a quote . . . Which suited me as i was concerned about shading from next doors 2-story house and tall trees causing shading issues. The original solar company did not send out anyone to address my shading concerns. This, plus es quoted a price that wasn't much more than the original company, but had 10 better quality sunpower p19 320w panels compared to the other's q-cell 305w panels that didn't have similar shading technology. I was having difficulty with my solarvic application and had missed out on the august and september application quota but somehow es was able to enable me to continue the process that had been blocked due to limited quotas being filled. I asked es if i could get their assistance with filling out the application form which they happily obliged. My application was accepted shortly afterwards and essential sorted out all the rest of the paperwork leading up to and including installation which was done by a 3 man team. They were professional, friendly, hard working and efficient. Very happy with the installation which took just over 7 hours to complete. The 3. 2kw enphase with 10x sunpower p19 using the excellent myenlighten monitoring is performing much better than expected and can't wait for powercor to connect the fit so that i can start taking advantage. Thanks heaps to the wonderful staff at essential solar. Highly recommended.

A referral from a friend, a great system

The decision to install solar panels involves a lot of money and emotion. A long-time friend had used essential solar and was quite pleased with the whole process. He got the salesman vincent, to call me and we arranged a site visit. He turned up on time and we discussed what was possible and what issues i might face such as shading. I felt that i got a true picture of what was achievable and how to proceed. When the quote arrived it was detailed and laid out the process including attaining the solar rebate. I paid the deposit and put the process in motion. When the rebate website opened i was ready to log on and the quote from essential solar had been uploaded so that i could submit my application. As per media reports the identification process is tricky but the staff at essential solar were able to answer my questions and assist as required. There is a detailed multi-step process for getting the rebate, then getting your solar panels installed, independently inspected and finally connected to the grid which was clearly set out in the documentation. As soon as the rebate was approved i arranged a date for installation. With fine weather the tradespeople arrived on time and installed the solar panels and inverter. A series of checks and the system was ready for the independent inspection which was done the next day. Not long after this my power company completed the solar connection. I made my application for the rebate on 01 july and my solar generated electricity feed started on 02 august. Other companies may offer cheaper panels and/or inverters, but i am a firm believer in buying a quality product that will last a long time. I purchased a ã¢â‚¬ëœbattery readyã¢â‚¬â„¢ system so that when the price of storage batteries inevitably comes down to a reasonable level they can be connected to my inverter. My friend received the promised referral fee ($150) and now we are both enjoying lower power bills. My panels are producing nearly 100% of my daily electricity usage in winter. I canã¢â‚¬â„¢t wait for summer when the solar generated power will see me feeding in way more electricity than i use. In conclusion, i found essential solar to be a professional organisation committed to quality and ensuring their customers are totally satisfied. As previously mentioned, the process can seem overwhelming but the staff is always available to explain and assist as required.

This company is very professional and open in their communications from start to finish. The quality and amount of information provided was excellent, where other companies quotes lacked detail and attention to my needs. Nevertheless, the process would have benefited from a closer inspection of the roof before installation day. But no other quotes did this either. Installation day was good, and the crew were friendly, polite and tidied up afterwards, which is very important. They adapted to the situation with cabling smartly and consulted well when plans changed. After installation communication and service was great and it was all tied up with an excellent package of documentation, warranties and paperwork on a usb.

Professional and Fastidious

Essential solar was recommended by an electrician friend who is very fussy! We have been completely happy with the process and can recommend them with complete confidence. A significant time was spent considering different systems and quoting. They have been really helpful with our application for the solar rebate scheme. The installation crew arrived just after nine having driven nearly 4 hours from melbourne and got straight into it finishing around 4. We are very pleased with the install and quality of workmanship. Good job all around.

I am totally pleased with installation and service info provided. I am currently in a battle with solarvic (government dept) about rebate. We sent our request before required date and forwarded all required information to the government dept and after a difficult phone conversation and two complaints emails, we have had no response.

Fantastic Service

I have contacted sales person and he came before time, sat in and answered all my questions. Instead of upselling he tried to advise me whats the best suitable to my needs and budget. Sent me a picture of how and where panels are going to be installed on my roof. Whenever i have called him, he answered or returned my call. Installation cannot happen on the day they promised as it was to 42 degrees, they called me and explained and did very next business day for which i am happy. Installer came on time showed me the picture where he is going to install on my roof, once done he run me through the user guide of inverter. They have taken care of their part very well and arranged electrical inspector, and all paper work. I am writing this review after 6 months as their after sales support is more than excellent no false promises. My solar panels were not generating any electricity after 2 months from installation date, i have contacted them and in a week or so their technical team did figure out problem and directed us to contact energy retailer for high voltage and got it fixed. Where as my friend who paid $2000 less for same 6kw unit from a different retailer when contacted for same problem he has been told that he is using all his electrical appliances at the same time so it switches off itself. I got no problem to pay a extra dollar for quality service, i highly recommend these people for their before and after sales service.

Professional,quick to respond - No hesitation in recommending SolarEssential

Shortly after asking for a quote a time was organised for a representative to do an onsite survey & quote. Once he had completed survey he sat down & explained everything including what was required for rebate. Again shortly after the survey i was contacted by phone & email. More information was supplied & questions answered. We decided to go ahead with essentialsolar as the other suppliers didn't show interest & were not going to do onsite survey. Installation date was organised & even though the weather wasn't ideal, they arrived well on time & the install was complete in half a day. No mess & no roof damage. A week later the system was checked & we were given the go ahead to contact our supplier essentialsolar were very thorough & followed up with all necessary paperwork & assisted us with the final stages.

Fantastic professional installers

Essential solar were very professional, and most of all honest. It was great to deal with vince and his team, and the installing team were professional and courteous when the system was fitted. While i strongly recommend them, my only issue was the additional install cost (which i was not told about until days before install) i had to pay due to the complexity of the install. Otherwise great experience!

The company representative who visited our house has presented their offer very well and explained everything in detail and gave recommendation base on what we really need. The admin office are also very good to deal with the process of the installation including paper works are all done professionally. All installation and paper work done in 2 and a half weeks including the the rebates claim. I would recommend essential solar to anyone who will require solar. The only negative i can comment is i was told the installers are in house but i think they are sub contractors. But otherwise they were professional and well mannered people. One more thing luckily i have checked the type of panels they brought if i havenã¢â‚¬â„¢t they have probably installed the wrong one but when i called their office they said they said those panels that they have are not for us and right panels are coming on a different delivery. Just an advice for people who are wanting to install solar in the future check the materials before letting the installers start their installation. Otherwise essential solar is a good company to deal with.

Sales and administrative staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Being responsive with ample experience provides me with confidence within this industry where you hear a lot of negative news about doggy installers. Installation technicians are also fully experienced and thorough. They pay attention to all details such as creating a neat cable / conduit arrangement exposed to view, and all the weatherproofing detailing for penetrations and fixings. After installation processes and paperwork are all handled professionally and promptly, to enable benefiting from solar generation as soon as possible. Overall, i am quite happy with the works done and the services provided. Have referred my neighbor already and would definitely recommend.

I have been very happy with the ease of getting the quote, consultants knowledge, prompt service and installation. The guys who came to install the system worked diligently through out the day to get the units installed on the day and left the site very clean.
